CONICAL WHINTENER

All details of whitening cones are designed and built in order to give long-lasting full satisfaction; they produce white rice of first quality and a maximum percentage of whole grains.

This machine is used for whiteningn the rice. The rice enters the upper part of the machine and falls onto a rotating cast-iron cone covered in an abrasive coating where it is distributed by the centrifugal force into the space between the cone and the various sectors of a metal cage with square or round holes.

The rice tends to follow the vortical effect of the rotating cone but is held back by rubber brakes which, without stopping it, slow down its speed so that the abrasive action of the cone eliminates the pericarp and whitens the rice.
