PLANSICHTER

This machine is used for classifying rice according to size (whole rice, waste, brokens etc) as well as for separating all the by-products. Its rotary motion causes the even distribution of the product over the entire surface area of the sieve, simplifying the classification. The machine oscillates freely and does not need to be balanced during operation. The product enters the plansifter through the hopper (feed inlet) and is sent to the first level for the separation of the larger impurities. The various waste products are collected at appropriate outlets while the rice, according to its size, falls down to the second, third or fourth levels where it is collected.

Whole grain rice is classified and collected on the third level, while brokens and germs are collected at level four. The product oscillates on the sieve because it is on a slope and because of its rotary motion.
